Who I Am

I bring together a background in competitive sport, leadership, and sport performance psychology to help athletes strengthen the mental side of their game.  

As a former Division I Athlete, I understand what it takes to compete at a high level — the pressure, the expectations, and the moments that define performance.

Before transitioning into mental performance coaching, I spent over 20 years leading teams in high-pressure professional environments.  That experience shaped how I approach this work: practical, focused, and grounded in real-world performance.

Today, my work is centered on helping youth athletes develop confidence, focus, resilience, and emotional control — skills that not only improve performance but also carry beyond sport.

I'm especially passionate about working with adolescent athletes, whose mental side of the game is still developing and can have a lasting impact on both sport and life.

MY WHY

Why I Do This

I know how much goes into becoming an athlete -- the early mornings, the long drives, the sacrifices inside and outside of the field, court, or arena.

But what I've learned is this: talent and hard work only get you so far.  It's your mindset that determines how you show up, handle challenges, and perform when it matters most.

I created Mind in Motion to give athletes the tools, support, and guidance to build that mental edge-- so they can reach their potential and enjoy the journey along the way.

Mental performance coaching works best when it is grounded in ethical practice, evidence-informed methods, and an understanding of athlete development.

Athletes deserve support that is responsible, individualized, and built around both performance and well-being.  My work is guided by formal education, ongoing mentorship, and the professional standards of the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) pathway through the Applied Association of Sports Psychology (AASP).
